Introduction




In the ocean of overstimulation, our eyes and subconcious need a break. It is time to take your life in your own hands and get active! VAD is the app to block real life advertisement and free your mind and subconsciousness. Start thinking for yourself again instead of being socialized by big companies to be a consumer! Create a magical world with freedom from advertising, but abundance of art.

VAD is a prototype for an augmented reality application that is able to cover expelled advertisements with content of choice. It was collaboratively developed with Lukas Hillbricht, using Figma for designing and Unity for development.






After a first round of user feedback, it is now planned to expand the app. Although VAD is designed for AR glasses in the long term, a version for smartphones will also be available, especially to allow users to upload and share their own images. VAD will therefore be expanded by the following features in the future: 


° Photo option in camera mode
° Adding a lobby to rest your eyes
° Interface for uploading and sharing image files
° Machine-learning algorithm recognizing ads and logos
